Smithers Viscient REACH Service Group includes REACH expert Dr Steffen Erler as Technical Director of REACH Regulations, with primary responsibility to be the technical lead for the company’s REACH activities. Smithers Viscient helps companies interpret the Registration, Evaluation & Authorisation of Chemicals EU legislation and provide guidance on its complex pre-registration procedures.

Dr Erler, who gained the first PhD on REACH, has been involved with REACH for almost a decade and is one of the leading global authorities on the subject. He manages and coordinates all of the company’s REACH activities, including the provision of technical support – product deformulation, testing and test proposals, exposure assessment, 0.1% w/w analysis; the provision of strategic advice on pre-registration, supply chain management, compliance standards, R&D plus the provision of REACH integrated solutions packages including inventory analysis, scientific assessment, third party representation, consortia formation and compliance monitoring.
